The clearest answer centers on utility:
- What specific action requires the token?
- What benefit does holding or using it unlock?
- Why can't the system function the same way without it?
Compelling explanations are concrete. Show real examples — staking to secure the network, paying fees to access a feature, participating in governance that influences revenue allocation, unlocking premium functionality, or qualifying for ecosystem rewards. Tie the token directly to user behavior.
If a community member cannot articulate, in one sentence, why the token is necessary and how it is used, the narrative is too abstract.
Utility should be observable, repeatable, and economically meaningful. That is what makes the token's existence defensible.
