What is spot trading?

Spot trading is the direct purchase or sale of an asset for immediate settlement.

There is no leverage, no expiry, and no derivative exposure — ownership transfers at execution. Buyers receive the underlying token; sellers deliver it.

Spot markets form the primary price reference for derivatives and long-term investors. Strong spot liquidity and stable price discovery should precede expansion into leveraged products.
